I. STORING YOUR JEWELRY
If there is one thing we’d like to emphasize in taking care of your jewelry it’s about how you store it. We’ve all been there with trying to find the other earring that you’ve seem to have misplaced or untangling a group of necklaces when you want just the one. To put an end to jewelry storage mishaps here’s some tips that we’ve found helpful!
STORE JEWELRY SEPARATELY
It might appear obvious, but store your jewelry individually. All the pieces shouldn’t be touching (like in the image below.) This prevents different metals from reacting together and pieces from tangling. For more sensitive metals, storing pieces in separate pouches works best.
STORE JEWELRY IN A DRY PLACE
The longer your jewelry is exposed to moisture, the more likely it will tarnish. Keeping your jewelry in a place where it is not susceptible to moisture (i.e. not rooms like the bathroom or kitchen) will help it last longer and maintain its shine.

HANG NECKLACES
To stop your necklaces from tangling, especially those you like to wear often, try hanging them. It makes it easy to grab them and see what you have!

II. CLEANING YOUR JEWELRY
ROUTINE CLEANING
Every couple months, depending on how often you wear your jewelry, it will need to be cleaned. Most tarnishing or scratches will come off by using a polishing cloth. We highly recommend Connoisseurs Jewelry Polishing Cloth; they have both silver and gold polishing cloths.
DEEP CLEANING
For a deeper cleaning, use warm water and mixed with a mild soap. You can use a tiny brush or soft cloth to target spots and marks. Gently dry your jewelry with a cloth once finished.

III. GENERAL CARE TIPS
In taking care of your jewelry, there are certain habits that will help protect its condition longer. If you can get in the routine of these care practices, your jewelry will really stay looking new.
AVOID GETTING JEWELRY WET
Try not to shower, wash dishes, or swim in your jewelry. Water reacts with the metal of your jewelry and tends to cause tarnishing and build up.
AVOID EXPOSURE TO CHEMICALS
Repeated use of products such as a lotions and perfumes will poorly affect the condition of your jewelry. If you’re planning on applying lotion or perfume make sure to take off your jewelry first then apply.
